Dog License and Dogs at Large

The Waverly PD has been dealing with a lot of at large dogs and dogs with no City License recently. I want to remind everyone that if you live with in the City limits you are required to have your dog's vaccinated and have a dog license. The dog license is $5.00 per year, that is better than a $50.00 fine for not having one. Also the city has a leash law and you are required to have your dog on a leash, in a kennel, or on a tie out while outside and never free to roam the city or it will be picked up and taken to the city kennel to wait for you to claim the dog and pay for the food and boarding and/or to receive a $50.00 fine for your dog being at large.

Refer tp City Ordinance 2069 found in the Ordinance tab on this website.
